Cedar Coffee Table
The client specified a square low coffee table in as light a wood as possible. This simple low design draws attention to features of the tree, a cedar of Lebanon which was the focal point in the rectory garden of Winterbourne until the storm of January 1990 laid it low. The table top was kept in 2 separate parts, each a "through slice" of the trunk, showing where the limbs grew. A summary of the story of the tree is etched into one of the rails.
